Keystone connectors are decentrally assembled on a support frame during installation. There are different types and sizes of the support frames and the keystones. We have made an overview of the support frames of various common brands that are suitable for the DINTEK keystone jackets.

DINTEK has various keystone jacks for CAT6 as well as for CAT6A in the range, including horizontal, vertical, shielded, unshielded, with shutter and toolless keystone jacks.
DINTEK keystones are available in horizontal (90) and vertical (180) variants. The difference between these keystones is the way in which the assembled cable comes out of the keystone. With a vertical keystone, the cable comes straight out of the backstone. A horizontal keystone offers the possibility to let the cable come out of the keystone both straight back and sideways.
The DINTEK installation cables consist of 100% copper, which means that the inner conductor is made of 100% copper. The advantages of UTP cables with a fully copper inner conductor compared to cables with a CCA inner conductor are:
• Optimal quality of data transfer
• Cable can cover a greater distance
• PoE capable
• Reduced risk of cable breaks
DINTEK has cables in different categories, such as CAT6 and CAT6A cables. These categories support different bandwidths (MHz). The more bandwidth available on the cable, the higher the throughput.
In addition, network cables are provided with a shield indication. For example, cables can be provided with shielding around the cable and shielding per wire pair. With the right shielding, interference between cables or wire pairs can be prevented.

AWG stands for American Wire Gauge. This is an American standard in which the cross-section of a round wire is indicated by means of a numerical code. The higher the number, the smaller the diameter and the thinner the wire. DINTEK uses AWG23 for the installation cables and AWG24 for the patchcords.

As of 1 July 2017, cables and electrical lines in construction works must comply with the European CPR standard. CPR stands for Construction Product Regulation, in Europe this is known as the EN 50575 standard and the Netherlands has drawn up NEN 8012 for this. This standard relates to the fire behaviour of cables and electrical lines. The standard aims to create more uniformity and clarity and to limit the damage caused by fire from and via power lines as much as possible.
The DINTEK installation cables supplied in Europe are CPR certified. This means that they are tested and certified for fire retardancy, smoke, acidity, heat release and droplet formation (burning droplets of plastic that spread the fire). In the NEN 8012, classes B1 to E have been taken over and applied for the Dutch market.

Manufacturer
The manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that all cables have been tested and certified by the relevant authorities.
Importer/Distributor
The importer/distributor is responsible for supplying certified cables and will have to be able to prove the certificates.
Installer/Automation
The installer/automation technician is responsible for ensuring that the correct cable is used on site.
Client
The client is responsible for providing information about the building/work, so that the right cable can be selected.

DINTEK has developed a special certified installer training program (DCI program) that partners can participate in. During these training courses, the participants are extensively instructed both theoretically and practically, so that they are able to install a structured and high-quality wired network at the customer, in accordance with the applicable standards.
Partners who have followed all DINTEK training courses and have successfully passed the corresponding tests can now call themselves DINTEK Certified Installer (DCI). As a DCI partner you also receive DINTEK certified prices and from that moment on you can even offer up to 25 years warranty on the DINTEK networks you have installed.
