With the Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR), DINTEK responds to the growing need for reliable and easy-to-use field test instruments for installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks suitable for Multimode and Singlemode, enabling users to make fast and accurate measurements.

The Optical Time Domain Reflectometer behaves like a cable radar, sending a pulse through the fiber and checking for a return signal. This produces a “trace” of the fiber measurement. It can be used to measure optical loss, length and item positions, connector and splice integrity.

The OTDR meets a wide range of testing and measurement needs in analyzing optical networks from access to core. It is intended for testing FTTx, PON, CATV, LAN, access and metro network fiber connections. With IP65-level protection, a 7-inch anti-reflection LCD screen, optional PON test, MMF test modules and a multilingual display, this OTDR comes in a comfortable carrying case.
